Disciplinary measures may be imposed if you neglect your duties.
For example, you are deemed to neglect your duties if you regularly fail to keep to agreements and/or violate regulations. You may also be considered to neglect your duties if you do not behave as may be expected from a good employee.
In addition to article 6.12 of the CAO NU, Utrecht University has adopted the internal Disciplinary Measures Scheme. This scheme contains the procedure to be followed for imposing disciplinary measures.
Disciplinary measures will only be imposed after you have been given the opportunity to account for your actions.
Disciplinary measures vary from a written reprimand to punitive dismissal. All disciplinary measures, except for the written reprimand, may also be imposed on a conditional basis.
