Academic Integrity

All employees and guests of Utrecht University who are involved in academic teaching and research are responsible for supporting academic integrity.

The_Netherlands_Code_of_Conduct_for_Scientific_Practice  contains the principles to be observed by all academic scholars: scrupulousness, reliability, verifiability, impartiality and independence.

If you have any complaints with respect to acts or omissions which are contrary to general principles of professional academic conduct, you should contact the academic integrity counsellor, who is appointed by the Executive Board for a period of two years.

The academic integrity counsellor advises the Executive Board on the validity of complaints and on the measures to be taken. The counsellor may seek the help of the Academic Integrity Committee.
