HR Departments  (Organisation)

Every faculty has its own HR Department. The HR Department for the Service Departments is part of the HR Office and covers the HR affairs of all service Departments of Utrecht University. HR employees are involved in:

• consultation and support of management in the field of HR
• policy preparation and development
• personnel administration, including the administration and monitoring of various procedures and schemes
• individual personnel care.

For questions about terms of employment you can also contact your HR Department.

Personnel Files

Your HR Department manages your personnel file. All essential agreements between you and your employer regarding your legal position are kept in your file. Obviously, these files are confidential. You may request your HR advisor to read your own file. The personnel files are kept for 10 years after the termination of your employment with Utrecht University. After this term the file will be destroyed, according to stipulations by the government.
