Programmes

Corporate Real Estate & Campus implements the goals of the university by order of the Executive Board:  to create a top environment for education and research. Corporate Real Estate & Campus works in an integral, professional and efficient manner at the housing of students, researchers and other employees. Its focus lies on making university real estate and the development of De Uithof future-proof.

A programme structure involves the users of the university real estate (faculties and departments) in the form of functional, programme and steering group meetings: Faculty Directors, Housing and Occupational Health and Safety Coordinators. A special programme, Utrecht Science Park, has been set up at the level of area development in De Uithof, which links Utrecht University to the Uithof partners University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, University Medical Center Utrecht and student housing corporation SSH.

Corporate Real Estate & Campus identifies the current and future need for space of faculties and departments and offers them appropriate accommodation. This is detailed in housing plans, in which the necessary investments in new construction, renovations, upgrading, maintenance and demolition are clarified. Applicable legislation and regulations and the university standards (such as space allotment) serve as the preconditions. The consequences for the housing costs, which are passed on to the faculties and departments, are also estimated in the plans.

Projects

The Project Management work group signs up and direct market parties in the realization of alterations, renovation and new construction projects for the benefit of Utrecht University. In close cooperation with the Technical Management and Advice work group, they also work on the important objective of maintaining the existing real estate.
