Master's programmes

Study Programme

This small scale programme allows intense personal interaction between students and faculty. This allows you to directly benefit from the faculty’s experience and external contacts. Moreover, the Master’s programme is embedded into the USE Research programme Multidisciplinary Economics of Change Within Firms, Markets and Sectors.Consequently, you are encouraged to actively take part in USE’s research in the field and get access to the latest insights from research in economics and business.

The academic year is divided into four periods. The fourth period is devoted entirely to writing your thesis. Students should expect to spend an estimated 40 study hours per week, you will earn 60 ECTS throughout the programme.

Coordinator of the master’s programme is dr. Gerrit Faber.

The programme offers four tracks:

•         International Management
•         International Financial Economics
•         International Ventures and Entrepreneurship

•         Globalisation and Development

Mentoring System

Students may consult the academic counsellor for assistance with their academic career and turn to the Master’s Programme Coordinator for other questions. The Master’s Programme Coordinator is the first point of contact for issues regarding the thesis and the assignment of a thesis supervisor. The lecturer/researcher will support the student throughout the process, advise the student and assess the thesis (together with another lecturer/researcher who serves as the second supervisor).
