Exchange programs

The Graduate School of Natural Sciences (i.e. Informatics, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemical Sciences) as well as the Undergraduate School offer students a wealth of interesting and challenging graduate and undergraduate courses that definitely justify visiting us for a semester or two. In our uniquely broad departments you will find courses and research options not available elsewhere, that possibly precisely suit the plans you have for your studies. In such a case, contact your local international officer for details on how to arrange for an exchange semester.

There are basically two options for you to participate in the academic program of the departments of Informatics, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemical Sciences as an exchange student:

• Undergraduate Exchange
• Graduate Exchange

If you come as an undergraduate student you will participate in courses in the Bachelor Program of the departments mentioned. The Bachelor courses are taught in Dutch. Exception: most of the Astronomy Bachelor's program is in English (2nd-3rd year level). You will be offered a wide range of courses in Physics, Astrophysics, Informatics, Mathematics, Chemistry & Physics, Meteorology and Physical Oceanography offered by the School. But you will also have access to undergraduate courses in other departments in Science, Social Sciences and Humanities. Typically such an exchange has the duration of a full semester, starting either in September or in February.

Course offering

The section information for Masterstudent's gives access to detailed information about the Master programmes offered by the faculty. Pick a masterprogram and go to 'Studyprogramme | Curriculum' to find a description of the studyprogramme, core courses, optional courses etcetera. The section  'Studyprogramme | Schedules' gives access to the schedules of the courses.
